Business Opening Activity: What are the products of the year - historical mark products - what would you put in a time capsule? Put a reason under a picture of each item.


What i would put in a time capcsule it would be a picture of calgary in 2012 and put it in a time capcsule so they would be able to see how calgary was in the pass. Maybe a cell phone the most high tech so in the future we can see how the technology we had in 2012 were different then what we have right now. Maybe even a picture of some of the fashion trend in 2012 so we know how we dressed in this time and how it was. and it all depends on what you want to remember.

Mac vs PC or Pepsi vs Coke comes to mind. Look at the two products websites, which one is better? Why?


PC would be better because a pc you can do anything with it like you can buy  stuff to upgrade your pc but for a mac you can't because there only a few version of macs. mac can only support some software. mac are only good if your in business but for a pc you can do anything else you can play games and etc. pc can hook up to anything but for a mac you would have to buy a converters. thats is why pc is better than macs. Coke is better because it taste better than pepsi and the way it the brand show how good it is.

1. There has been debate over if this movie is genuine or a "mockumentary". What do you think? If it was a mockumentary - why would Bansky do this?
-what i think about this movie is that this movie is a mockumentary. the reason why is that this movie is  showing him painting and graffiti on the walls and buildings. he is mocking the government and the  people he showing what he think about this world so thats why i thing this is a mockumentray 


2. What do you think the street artists are trying to get across to the public with their graffiti?
How can you tell they were effective?
i think the reason why they are graffitiing is that they want to show the world and everyone around them what they think about the government and what should be done. i think they are effective because all of his work is getting more fame because it showing what the government is doing 
3. What do you think that Mr. Brain Wash was trying to get across to the public with his art? Was he effective?
what i think he is trying to do is that he wants other people to see what his perspective about the government is about

4. What do you see as the key differences between the street artists work and MBW's work?
the differece is that MBW is show a message but others just do it for fame


5. At the end of the show lots of people showed up to the art show.  Why the long line? What brought so many people together?
the reason why i think  people lined up to see his art is that everyone is wanting to see his art sice his art is showing a message..

6. Graffiti: Is it art or vandalism? How would you react to someone painting on your wall? What similarities do you see between graffiti and guerilla marketing? Where is the line for Shepard Fairey or Banksy, when they move from making art against the mainstream machines into making money off of their art from the mainstream machines? Did they sell out or did they achieve success?
graffiti is art. if someone had painted my wall than i would first see what the messages is trying to be prove or shown and if it is a good message than i would leave it on my walls to let other people see it.what similarities compared this to guerilla marketing is that they are both creative way to show.

A product i like to use and say thanks to is alberto. alberto is a a hair product it sells wax for hair, hairspray and gel. it helps my hair stay up everyday and the product also is very easy to use. i want to say thanks to alberto because i use it everyday, its also very easy to put on my hair and easy to get off. i have been using this product for a very long time and i have never had any problems with it or any concerns. i want to say thanks to this product because i have always use this product.
